When these Kāne‘ohe homeowners began interviewing agents, they had a clear goal: sell for around $1.8M and move on to their next great adventure. The home had incredible bones with sweeping ocean and mountain views, a sparkling waterfall pool, and a spacious 10,000 sq ft lot. But it hadn’t been updated since the early 2000s.
Inside, yellow walls, mismatched flooring, and dated fixtures made the layout feel disconnected. During our consultation, we shared the truth with empathy: based on current comps and condition, the home’s market value sat closer to the high $1.6Ms. But with vision and the right improvements we knew we could help them reach, and even exceed, their goal.
That’s when we introduced our Strategic Home Improvement Plan (SHIP) with three customized options designed to maximize their return. Our clients chose to go all in with a partial remodel, and our Island Living Homes design + project management team took the reins.
